One of the latest trends in house plan modifications is the installation of wood flooring.   Hardwood suppliers are kicking off the fall season with many new products and additions to current collections.  Highlights include longer and wider planks, new rustic looks as well as new programs and promotions.   Now is an excellent time to plan your house plan modifications and take advantage of all the new products currently available.  Two new products will be featured in Anderson’s “Fall for Americans” promotional sale.  Virginia Vintage Lansdowne is a solid red oak, 3/4 inch, hand-sculpted edge with deep relief and texture.  Sugar House Maple is handscraped with a rustic, reclaimed look.  Armstrong’s Bruce Frontier is a group of engineered hardwoods in hickory or birch that includes handscrapes and blackwash finishes.  This group is available in 5 inch wide planks.  Bruce Rustic Heritage is a solid hardwood collection in birch, white oak, hickory and acacia in 3/4 inch thick and 4-inch and 5-inch planks.  Armstrong also offers Rustic Accents and Artesian Hand-Tooled.  BR-111 and exotic wood company is introducing Kingsbridge Oak. It is a combination of contemporary and rustic that is set to add a modern, sophisticated feel to any room in your home.  It has 8-inch wide planks and a brushed texture and features an oxidized oiled finish and white wash.  It measures 3/4 inch thick, 8 inches wide with lengths from 30 inches to 84 inches and boasts a 5mm wear layer.  Other companies to consider when planning your house plan modifications to add wood flooring are Home Legend, Mirage, Mohawk, Mullican, QEP/Harris Wood and Somerset. Home Legend has introduced 42 new products this year.  Mirage is adding 6 1/2-inch wide boards and lengths of up to 6 feet to its Sweet Memories Collection.  Mohawk’s products feature hand-scraping accented by rich stains and pillowed edges. Mullican Flooring has added four new products to its hand-scraped Chateline Collection featuring vintage-looking surface treatments.  QEO/Harris Wood is focusing on the 2012 color trends.  Somerset is adding engineered wood flooring to its existing solid hardwood flooring collections of Color Plank, High Gloss, Character and Specialty solids. Somerset 1/2-inch engineered flooring benefits include:  Sawn face for the look of solid flooring, 3mm wear layer and made in the USA.   All of the above mentioned companies offer Fall wood Fashions for your personal house plan modifications.
